Newcastle Airport is located about seven miles northwest of the city centre. The airport hosts regular flights to domestic and international airports. If you are not able to get a direct flight, there are connecting flights through London Heathrow, Dublin, Paris–Charles de Gaulle, and Schiphol Airport.
The city centre can be reached easy using the Tyne and Wear Metro.
Newcastle Central Station and Durham Station are on the East Coast Mainline about 3 hours from London, and 90 minutes from Edinburgh.

Newcastle University and Northumbria University are connected to the city’s suburbs, airport, the coast, and a range of museums and sight-seeing opportunities by the Tyne and Wear Metro light rail service.
Haymarket is the closest station to Newcastle and Northumbria University campuses and trains run frequently during the day, starting at around 05h45 and ending at around 23h30. Travel is quick and inexpensive.
