'Blessid Inglonde, ful of melody': Polyphony from 15th century England, The Clerks, dir. Edward Wickham & Matthew Gouldstone
The Clerks return to the rich and expressive sound world of fifteenth century England, presenting a programme of intricate polyphony drawn from both well-known and anonymous sources. Featuring music by Frye, Power, and early Josquin alongside Sarum chant, this concert traces a vivid musical landscape of devotion, invention, and melodic beauty.

Echoes of a Lost Medieval City: The Binchois Consort, dir. Andrew Kirkman, His Majestys Sagbutts & Cornetts, dir. Jamie Savan
The Binchois Consort joins forces with His Majestys Sagbutts & Cornetts to explore the musical echoes of a medieval city at the crossroads of tradition and innovation. Featuring music from c.1450 to 1528, the programme spans solemn chant, ornate polyphony, and festive instrumental fanfares, tracing a journey through one of the most transformative periods in English musical history.

In this anniversary year marking 400 years since the death of Orlando Gibbons, Fretwork and vocal soloists pay tribute to a composer whose music lies at the heart of the English Renaissance. Rich in serenity, sorrow, and spiritual depth, this programme explores the full range of Gibbons’s artistry through his music for viols and voices.
