As at previous conferences, we are delighted to announce that the publishers Boydell & Brewer are offering an award of £100 in books to the poster presentation that receives the most votes during the poster display on Thursday 3 July. The winner will be announced at the business meeting later on Thursday evening
Continuing a tradition begun in 2024, MedRen 2025 will once again offer the Lenka Hlávková Award for Early-Career Scholars.
The award commemorates the life and work of Lenka Hlávková, who was fatally shot at her work place in December 2023. As Director of the Institute of Musicology at Charles University in Prague, Lenka was a distinguished scholar and a generous mentor, deeply committed to supporting the next generation of researchers in the field. She was also co-host of the 2017 MedRen Conference in Prague.
Now in its second year, this £100 prize will be awarded to the most promising paper presented by an early-career scholar, as judged by the conference programme committee. The award recognises both originality of content and clarity of presentation.
